Show dogs...tonight!

So are you as excited about tonight as we are? No, not Valentine's Day...The Westminster Kennel Kennel Club Dog Show 2012 in New York of course. Tonight there are three more breed groups followed by a big finale:

  • SPORTING
  • WORKING
  • TERRIER
  • BEST IN SHOW  ...
I would love for the Pointer to win in the Sporting group tonight...in honor of my dog cousin up in Massachusetts, Lily. I am also hoping on the Leonberger to win in the Working group-- they are a new breed but boy how beautiful and wonderful as a family pet this dog is-- have a look!

My favorite for Best in Show? ...............the GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG! No surprise. I just love the breed, grew up with it and live with it. But no matter what, I am just looking forward to another fun show with lots of dedicated show people and dogs.

The German Shepherd Dog is a highly intelligent, exceptional family dog that is a willing companion who enjoys the endeavors of its owners. Originally bred as a sheep herding dog and protection dog in Germany, the adaptability of this wonderful breed knows no boundaries. Competitive in all performance activities (herding, obedience, agility, tracking and the working dog sport), a service dog for the hearing impaired, blind, etc, a policeman's best friend and protector.
